The Dement Brothers Old School Boxing Club is a fitness and mentoring program in the Shreveport – Bossier City area that uses the sport of boxing to reach youth on a deeper level. 

Boxing drives youths away from issues such as gun and knife crime, gangs, substance abuse and anti-social behavior because boxing club members value being part of something that practices confidence, respect, and discipline for oneself, as well as for others. 

The sport teaches discipline, fitness, diet, self-defense skills and can increase self-esteem, including the ability to defend themselves if an athlete was physically assaulted. Most importantly, it informs young people when and when not to fight, emphasizing the need for establishing mental control as well as physical. 

Our events appeal to the same local demographic that is likely to attend live sporting events as well as televised sporting and PPV events.
